Just got some of these mounted up and have a couple days on them including snow and slushy logging roads.. great tires. I have always ran BFG AT or MT's before on my other trucks. But now the BFG AT has lost it's severe snow rating I went looking for these and am happy I did.

265 75 16 on stock rims..

960 taxes in installed for 5 tires and I got 75 bucks each for my stock 245 that came with the truck...with 2500 kms on them.

pretty good deal I think..

They look stellar! Great sipping and the tread blocks are pretty decent in size.

I just got a set of BFG AT KO in 265/70/17 and they still have the severe weather rating (snowflake) on the sidewall.....?

those look like nice tires though! If I didnt go with the BFG's I would have gone with those for sure, the sidewall looks agressive as hell

apparently they are phasing out the severe weather rating as they failed to meet the standards ..some sizes still have it depending on the date of manufacture, when i was looking the shop had 2 that had it and 2 that didn't... I would imagine they will modify it to get it back at some point?

I was so close to pulling the trigger on a set of those before I scored Will's wicked deal on some BFG ATs.

When I went to look at the Duratracs the only thing that concerned me was that the siping didn't go all the way to the bottom of the block.

Those look like some cool tires.
I'll be in the market for some 235/85R16 in the spring or summer 2010.
Thanks for posting these up, something to consider when doing my tire research.

Excellent looking tire...has GREAT potential IMO. A co-worker bought these for his JK at my recommendation, and is thrilled with them so far.

Hope they do you well!

Ya I got them at Fountain tires on Highway 97.. I had excellent service when I was there.. and I was surprised by the cost as well, I think there might be a rebate on right now to boot ..

Those are the tires I wanted for my Tow Rig - but no one in North America had em when I was looking - Ended up with the procomp Xtreme A/T's instead. be sure to let us know how those tires work out for ya

That is a good price! I just got a quote for some here in Calgary for $1398.35 plus $27.00 per tire to stud.
Looks like I am going to have to go smash my piggy bank :( But should be worth it

If I were you I would seriously look at doing the Discount Tire Direct route. Price out the tires you're interested in and compare your savings.

So I had my one week old Nokian Winter tires taken off my FJ today and had them put on the Dura Trac's I asked for in the first place. Let's just say the difference is night and day! I am now ready to go climb trees with my FJ! For anyone considering getting the Dura Trac's don't do it as you will risk having a permanent smile on your face and you truck will almost look as good as mine! :)

I also got them studded.( bling bling)

Seriously thinking about going with the DuraTrac's - a bit more aggressive than the Toyo Open Country AT's I had previously but not a serious as a MT...

I think I like them - any suggestions on where to locate them in Calgary? Probably going for 4 - I have a Toyo AT I can toss on my 5th rim.

Was just quoted $1173 for the rubber out the door (GST, Tire Tax, $100 instant rebate) which isn't too bad... Available in the city too.

Where did you get the quote and what size? Seems to be a great deal to me.

I was just checking on Discount Tire Direct and can get a set of 275/70/18's for $1,225.

I got mine in Feb and love them. However I regret getting them studded as I don't have them on my FJ right now. They are worth the money so go pull the trigger!!

Sadly I am a tool and didn't take any pic's of them on this winter, however I am seriously debating on getting a Summer set to put on the 20" rims. But if you really want I can take a pic of them stacked in my garage, lol.
