Not sure of the regs for the poker run but how about we work together as a club? We could meet before hand and get organised on radios and such. We could operate as one entry but with several rigs/people it would be fun I think.

A great cause indeed! I've attended these years past, (from Bowness Park to the old Childrens Hospital) and had a great time. I'm working the weekend so I shall miss out on the Poker Run.
Have fun!

We could all meet before for breakfast near the community hall then all show up in a huge train of Toyota's.
After we were thinking we'd go for noodles after a cold day outside (A La Victor!).
What are you thoughts everyone?

As the hour is late I will take the lead on this. I will be at Mcd's Glenmore Landing at 9:15 if anyone wants to meet up FRS 11 CB 4 146.445 and 145.290. We should monitor cb4 as the other drivers will be on it but talk on FRS for our group communications.

Thank you to the Four Wheel Stampeder's for putting this event on in the frigid cold today! We had a decent turn out with Chris K, Harry, David E, Albert and myself buzzing around the SW to get cards for the Poker Run.
Got some really neat toys for the children that will be receiving them for Christmas this year!
Each driver would go around to the listed stops given on a sheet of paper. Each stop had a person at that location providing the driver with another card to complete a hand.

There was an extra card given out to vehicles that had been decorated which only Harry actually came prepared. Before returning to the community hall to turn in our hand, Albert, Will, Chris and myself ended up stopping at the Wall-Mart quickly to find some Christmas cheer.
Albert had a nice tinsel wrap around his ARB and a bow on the back. Harry had Christmas lights on his roof rack. Chris had the great idea to put wrapping paper around the hood of my Tacoma like a present along with a santa hat for the whip and a bow for the bumper. Will had a huge bow on his ARB, tinsel around his ARB as well!
Finally we got to turn in our hand. Since there weren't enough people for the prizes, everyone walked away with something! Chris and I one third best hand and received a T-shirt and knit cap. Albert won worst hand!!...nice!
For the truck decorations we were also rated, and surprisingly with Chris and myself's odd decorations ended up getting second!
After we ended up heading to Happy Hill restaurant for some much needed Hot Pot! We arrived at the restaurant at 2:45 and didn't leave till 5:30!

Great food and great times and above all did a little bit to spread some Christmas cheer to some who needed most.

Saw a couple of you guys ~1ish heading west on southland... (Was heading to a company kids xmas party - couldn't join) Then ran into a black XJ heading up deerfoot around 4ish that had lights on the rack; and santa in the back window?
Wife was pretty pissed we didn't go actually - we had a blast last couple years...

I had a great time and it was wonderfull to help bring a little Christmas to some kids that may not have one. I must say that the dinner and fellowship was one of the best times I've has with fellow wheelers in a while. The food was new, different and tasty it was fun to let somone else guide us in trying two types of cuisine and I would go there again. If Nathan ever recommends Hot Pot go for it you won't be sorry. Thanks Nathan.

Yeah it really was a great time! Even if it was fairly chilly out, the fun factor and the Hot Pot really kept us warm.
It was nice to see the amount of toys that everyone brought considering the attendance was apparently low this year. I hope next year CT4WD will have a really large toy bringing posse!

Yeah it doesn't take too much to place in the decorating :) Next year I'm sure we'll be out for it again - poker run sounds like more fun :D
