*pun intended

So today was the point of no return :saw: :saw:
Gave my truck a new ass for it's 10,000km (6250 miles) anniversary

First step, remove bumper..

Then, start the :saw: for the test cut...

Then do cuts about 1 inch lower than expected height... (no picture)

Then put the new bumper with 2x4s to space it out lower and be able to trace the cut lines exactly where they need to be..

Then do the final cut :D :saw:

Nice...

I couldn't do it though... If I spent that much on a new tacoma - I wouldn't be going at it with a grinder :D

looks great! But I also would have a hard time cutting up a new truck

If it prevents further damage... why not?

I think Etienne and I are on the same page with this one - the truck is never going to be sold, armor it up right the first time!

Takes some balls to do that. Looks killer though. Well worth the sweat and tears!

From the looks of the first picture, you should treat your truck to a tank of gas too!

Did you paint the metal where you cut it?
If not, I forsee rust in your trucks near future.

I am buying a weather strip, and filling with urethane.. so no air will get there.

I will do this before this weekend, so there is no moisture or rain that gets in before I put the strip
