Is it possible to re schedule the dates for these courses? Why you ask - Off Road Expo in Red Deer is Sept 12-13th. If you've never been to one it's well worth the trip. I've been to every one of these Expos at Red Deer and it's the ultimate guys weekend (sadly I'll miss this years).

There is a course in Oct!

It's the same schedule every month so people are able to plan in advance.

I'll be in the Rubicon during this time so I'll also miss being able to attend the course

Does that mean you'll be my date? If you're good, I'll let you get to first base.

ok well if it's going to be that kind of party......

on a more serious note... we are gonna be running our course this month as we have a few people already signed to be there. But you know... there'll be one next month too and soon after that it'll be an interactive online course with and exam afterwards as it will allow people to work at their own pace in the future

I'm going to take in the course, and then hit the Offroad Expo with some friends on Sunday.

We went on Sunday last year for the last rock crawling show... and it was the best. LOTS of carnage!!!!!! Something to keep in mind, because they aren't saving their trucks for the next show.

Perhaps we could hold the trail run as an EXPO gathering in Red Deer.

That would be cool. Then we can make our way back to Calgary on all the side roads?

So is there a 101 course this Sunday Sept 13th? And if so what time does it finish up? I need to work my second job (coaching) at 6 pm, so I need to be out of wherever by 4. Will this work?

The intro course is Saturday and the 101 should be the following weekend (we're having an issue with the venue for next week).

CalgaryRider

well I guess I will have to wait until October to do my 101 then. Thanks for the clarification. It might be worth while changing the info on the main website too.

Doc you're not at the 'con? or you're on your iPhone?

No no no nooooo! I took drastic measures to attend the courses this weekend and you can not move it. What is this some kind of plot to screw up my 25th wedding anniversry? I paid for the 12th and 13th not some date to be determined later. Sorry for the rant but this course thing is giving me fits and despite other priorities I understood the need and put the courses ahead of everything else.

Uh oh ... I just saw this on the main page. Normally we have courses 1 week apart. I'll confirm with the other instructors what exactly is going on this weekend. Saturday is still a go for sure. Sunday is TBD (at the moment).

The mix up is my mistake as I had to re-create the pages on the website for the Trail Runs and Courses due to a website error.

As the calendar on the main site states Intro is held every second Saturday of the month and the 101 is held on the third Sunday of every
month.

We are currently looking into our options to run the 101 this Sunday as the typo states. At this time we aren't able to set it in stone. I will be contacting those of you who have RSVP'd for the 101 this evening.

I have a question about the sat course. How long does it run for? My team has their first game of the season at 130pm

I was wondering if I can leave early so I can play. :(

Hi

I also would like to know the scoop - Dave (I think) is the only instructor avail. this weekend.

For me, it's no big deal - if you aren't holding it this Sunday, then I'll come in October (I've already paid, so I can just change the RSVP to be Oct.)
Can't come next Sunday - 20th - as I am working at the hospital then.

So, let me know either way please

Geoff

I hope this is not a dumb question but do we really need to bring our rigs to the intro course (I know we need them for the 101)? The list says bring your Toyota but the class description states that the two sessions are both in a classroom. My rig is not a daily driver if you know what I mean.

Just to inform you guys, I was talking to David (Doc McCoy) about this sunday, sept. 13 101 course and he said it won't occur. They tried but weren't able to reserve the site for the course so I guess we have to wait till next week to see if the 101 course for sept.20 is doable...

For the intro course your Toyota is not required. Nice to have a big group of Toyotas though.

Nathan, please let me know if Sunday is a go or not!

Sunday is no longer possible. We were unable to secure the location in time. We were all a little blindsided by Nathan's typo. Nathan and I had a conference call (to California, where I should also be this weekend lol) and we made every attempt to nail down the venue but simply did not have enough time. Intro is still a go for tomorrow for those who have booked that course.

As stated above. Sadly cancelled. We will do everything we can to have the course the following weekend.

For the Intro course, a lunch is not provided ... the last two classes have gone across the street to have lunch.

We can't apologise enough for the confusion caused. I've sent an email to those whose contact info Nathan sent to me (those registered for the 101 course). In it is my contact info. If you have any questions feel free to contact me directly. Once again ... sorry.
