View Full Version : Fixed the death noise....

So I finally fixed the real bad noise(for those of you who were at the beer night you heard it). The part is the lowest idler wheel on the motor, $125 at the stealership and it was in stock so they know it is a poor design. Basically they use a non-sealed bearing so when it see's muddy or sandy water it's toast.
Now that I have the killed one off the truck I am going to press the bearings out and find a sealed bearing for it. When i do I will post it up in the cheap tricks section.

Glad it's nothing serious. That would be awesome if you could get a sealed bearing in there. TRD Offroad is a bit of a misleading sticker on the truck http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Pretty well every reason that I bought the Off-Road Package, I have now removed that part and replaced it with something better!!!

haha..... yeah I think the only thing left on our trucks is the locker and the sticker on the side!

I have them covered with TRD seat covers!!

Hey Chris, I think I found an alternative pulley at NAPA. I'll try and find out all the part numbers and see if it matches up with yours.
