I need to work on my wheels before we go to the Rubicon. They don't allow anyone with "oversize" tires at U-wrench anymore. Does anyone know of a place where I can do my own mounting/ dismounting? Thanks alot.

Hey, just another bump. I'm still looking for a place where I can do some tire work. Anyone perhaps know of a place? I'd prefer to either do the work myself, or else help someone with it because tire shops do not know how to work on wheels with these internal beadlocks, and places like National, charge a fortune.

There was a guy in CalgaryJeep that dealt with/sold these. I forward this question to him if you like Gary?
Let me know,
Ryan

Hey thanks Ryan, but I think it would be cost prohibitive to buy one. I see the good machines are going for $1000 + and the balancer is even more. If the association can buy them as a group, and charge members a small usage fee, that might work *cough, cough*

hehe, actually Gary, what I meant was that the fellow sells/installs the Staun internal beadlocks.

Ah, gotcha, but yes my locks are actually good. I just think that when I seated one or more of the tires last time, it seated slightly off centre (it's a bit tricky to mount these properly), causing them to be out of round. So, I would like to break the beads and re-mount them - just don't know anyone I can trust to do it though. :) So, if you think he can help me with that, that would be good if you can check with him, Ryan.

Antonio says that he's gonna be at shake night ... maybe you should bug him. I'm sure Canadian Tire won't mind if you "teach" Antonio how to seat a tire over the Stauns.
Plus ... let me know if and when you're mounting the tires there. I wanna watch.
