a friend of mine does importing if you want nathan, i bet he could get you a killer deal on one of these, he told me he can get JZ2 92-94 supras for like $13-14000 at your door, so i am sure a GT-4 would be a little less, call me if you want me to get ahold of him

That is a rad car! A GT Four was the first car that i ever bought. It was not a RHD but the north American version with the left drive. Very fun car.

Nathan, great choice of sports car! However, these cars are fairly expensive to repair IE should the clutch give up on you. You're looking at an engine R&R, and replacement of all potential parts that wear out, leak etc like for example the steering rack. Enough ramble about that, would make an awesome car to boot around in not to mention the 3S-GTE has lots of potential! Contact JDMsource.ca, I'm not sure if he has any 185's but I know he has a clean STOCK ST-205.

Awesome info! Thank you...

I'll have to do more research of course. Victor, have you had any experience with JDMsource?

The one thing to realize when you import through JDM or others, is that you don't only pay for the vehichle, but also for the service that they provide. This service is usually worth quite a few thousand dollars and sometimes double the price of the vehichle. I don't have personal experience, but know people who have used their service before. They have staff in Japan that look at and buy these vehichles, do all the paperwork, etc. So, my understanding is that they do not test-drive these vehiches, only look at them at auction. So, the other option is to take the $2-3000 in service fees, buy a plane ticket and go pick out the vehichle you want yourself and testdrive it before you buy. With JDM, you have to buy it before you even see it (or that's my understanding any ways) :)

I bought a 7M-GTE from him a few years back, very nice guy to deal with. I bought the Aristo from ImportConcern.ca but I'm not sure if he still imports cars, again I had a positive experience with him as well and you can always email him. Gary summed it up very nice, you're buying these cars blind usually the body work and engine are in good shape and they are very particular about their cars over there. Just plan on sinking some money into it along the way, as long as you don't get bit by the boost bug....haha.
