I know Chris loooves his adjustable coilovers.

if you don't put a camper shell/topper/cap (whatever you call it) then I guess the all-pro leafs are good. or if you don't haul a boat or a lot of weight.

i dont own a boat right now, but i would like the option to be able to haul stuff if i have to

for weight carrying, the dakkars are better suited, they might be stiffer when empty.
If not, it's the alcans where you get basically exactly what you want.

If budget is a concern, (like me) or you go the All-Pro route, you could go with airbags until you upgrade. I have 2.5" of lift in the front, and only use airbags in the rear. I still have a slight rake to the truck.

I also have a topper which i"m guessing is 200lbs. I have a rolling bedslide which is also 200 lbs, plus all my tools. On a daily basis, I'm running 400-500Lbs of gear in my truck.

Here's a pic of my truck almost fully loaded with a small trailer to give you an idea on how well the rear airbags stand up.

hounddog, i like that setup for a budget, what size tires/rims are those and did you need new UCAs

Oh hey thanks!

I dropped down to a 16" wheel, I didn't want to keep my 17" stock size primarily for airing down reasons - I wanted more tire flex then rim -

So, the rims are a ProComp 16x8 7089

http://i661.photobucket.com/albums/uu337/Hounddog/procomp.jpg

The tires are, (I think) 265/75/16 = 32"

I believe Nathan runs the same rim. I didn't need new UCA"s, although I do want to eventually pick some up as $$ allows.

Yeah got the same rim but with 285's which equals to about 32.8" Beachboy runs the same tire size and only with about 2" of lift right now.

You could always hold out on installing your rims and tires till you're able to get the suspension set up. Will (Spooky08) and myself have both run OME suspension and it's really good set up and easy on the wallet.

Wheeler's Offroad in the states has that set up. So does All-Pro.

Old Man Emu is owned by ARB and they do serious R&D on their stuff in the Australian outback.

Agree! I should/will hold out on installing the rims and tires untill i can get the suspension setup (one i can be happy with).

so,
Old Man Emu Front Shock $156/ea 8510-ARB-OMEN140S (x2)
Heavy Rate Coils $79/ea 3500-FJ-OME885 (x2) [885 coil for DC/LB]
= $470

not bad price. something def. to consider. much more palatable than $3000.
what were you guys running in the rear (and what would you suggest for the DC/LB vs the AC you guys own). want to be level, or at least no baja stance.

thx.

The Dakar HD leaf pack is really good with towing and weight carrying. I'm on the All-Pro 3" pack and it is pretty close to stock weight carrying with lift.

If you're doing a boat the Dakar HD will be a good bet. I'll check with All-Pro if they can do the OME with the Group Buy

So far it won't be coming from All-Pro but from National in B.C. as for cost, I'm still waiting for their numbers to see if it'll be worth going with National or with Wheeler's
