We had really great weather out in Waiparous today. Had a good mix of stock Toyota's and really "stock" Toyota's! The scenery was pretty incredible and that's what Waiparous is about. Pretty easy but very scenic.
It was great to see the driver's practicing what they learned in the Intro Course.
The trail was pretty dry since Friday's Pre-Run and the water crossing wasn't as deep either which was good.
Thanks to Gary, Will and Etienne for helping lead and tail gun the group. Huge thanks to Will for taking back a few of the members early so they could make their later commitments.
If you've got photo's from the trip post'em up here in this thread!

Great video and photos. How many vehicles attended the run it looks to be around 15? Was the large group any problem as the last run I went on was like rush hour on the trail? I miss the old Waiperous. Where is the next run?

14 trucks
split into two groups, one went to the falls, the other to the lake. Because the trail had less obstacles, the run went quite smoothly and way less of a jam than last time.

Nice video Nathan, I really enjoy the way you put them together. Are you still running the 101 course this coming weekend?

Three to seven is a good group size for a trail run and Waiperous is a great spot for new wheelers.

The cam clips?
The GoPro worked great. The operator not so great! I forgot to push the button to turn it off after the stream crossing and it recorded all 2gigs worth. Once it runs out of memory the clip is not viewable. Operator error... oh well next time!

Some kind of fine in BC - $10,000 I think (If your rig is in water, over the axle hub, you're pooched). Was mentioned in the intro class. ;}
But... since I saw a dude abandon his rig here in the middle of the Red Deer river a few months ago, I guess they have a point...

also just incase you inhale water through your axle seals. Hub deep is just to make sure that your t-case/transmission/axles are not going to be at too much risk of pulling water in.
If it's over hub deep... check everything and if it's a milkshake..... change your oils asap!
