Hey guys,

Well my hopes and dreams of doing a Solid Axle Swap is dead because I step down as Operations Director at work and took an easier less stressful job but at half the pay, yes I know I'm dumb. But good news there's still money in the upgrade piggy bank for a decent Coil Over set up.

Not that I want to beat this subject to death because I know there is a thread out there that talks about the Icon vs. Fox but I'd like to know your views on the Icon vs. Camburg set up.

Pros Cons any suggestions?

I was also perhaps looking at doing King Coil Overs with All-Pro UCA's and a deaver 8 or 10 pack in the rear.

Thanks in advance for the input.

Also side question does anyone know of a contact person at Demello, I emailed them but no dice, they did a custom bumper for this guy http://www.flickr.com/photos/feldermann ... 746004500/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/feldermann/3141888941/sizes/l/in/set-72157611746004500/) and I'd like to look at the same for my truck or maybe you know of somewhere else perhaps locally (Alberta) that I can get that fab'ed at.

All-Pro just made a SAS kit for Tacoma which should work with 4Runners. The first one was just finished at National in BC in conjunction with All-Pro.

I just ran 280K's off-road with my All-Pro Long Travel/Fox set up and love it. It's amazingly smooth over massive ruts and pot holes at speed.

Well there has been a lot of debate over at TTORA about the Donahoe/Icon coilovers vs. everyone else. For instance back in the Donahoe days, Kreg was claiming that the Camburgs (and others) were based directly off the old Donahoe 2.5" coilover design. Now, a lot has changed since then.

I'll do a little research to see what I can find out.

After installing the Icon's on Beachboys Tacoma... it looks like the Icon's and Fox 2.5's could be the same shock just different stickers.

Anyone know anything about this?

Mine look identical to his from what I remember except the resi is massive on the Fox 2.5.

Thanks for the input so far guys, I can't seem to find a solid answer between the options except pricing, now if I'm going to be out off-roading with you guys maybe I shouldn't be the odd ball if something breaks? haha

Looking forward to anything else you can find out. Thanks again

There's a 10 pack deaver for sale in the sale thread!

Yeah the coil over's aren't that bad of a choice. I'm really impressed how the coil over set up is working, although it's long travel, watching Etienne's truck with the icon extended travel he get's pretty good travel as well.
