Hi Guys!
First off I would like to say it was wicked meeting you all at the gathering and it was even better to see all the wicked rigs in the club! I remember a few names but not everybody. ;)
As for the trip to Manitoba with myself and a friends 2007 JK 4 door it was for a better word uneventful. We made it there ok, but the following morning as we where going to head out on the trails and the Jeep wouldn't go into gear. We tried for a while to get it into gear by moving it back and forth and switching from 4x4 to 2wd, and still nothing. We finally did get it into gear and once it was in gear would just slip and not really move at all.
After about 2 hours of messing around we decided to pull the pan on the transmission. To our stunned looks as we pulled the pan off, the VALVE BODY was in the pan!
Well trip over! I go back to Winnipeg and pick up a trailer from U-haul. Load the Jeep. We all figured since we came this far anyway we should relax and a have a few beers.
Sunday night comes and we head out.
My truck had a good work out that's for sure and I averaged about 25 Lph/kms and 30 on most hills. Thanks god there aren't that many hills!
4 guys in my truck, pulling a 5000lbs JK full of gear on a trailer as well as all of my gear in the back of my truck equals to about 12500lbs that my SC V6 had to pull!
Thank god for 4:56 gears!!!!!!!!
Sorry for no pictures, didn't have much time during the fixing and loading and didn't really think about it after all the chaos with the jeep.
I'm hoping my next adventure will be a little better. Maybe Solo!!
