I am into technology and gadgets in the worst way and when I can combine hobbies it's the best. Several groups in BC and one here in Calgary have held Geocache events using 4x4's and I think we should hold one. The HOT does an annual Geocache event and Canadian 4x4 this month has a great write up about it (my inspiration for this topic). Tullameen just held a Geocache event and it was well attended. I once participated with a local Geocache club who held an event for those with 4x4's (bone stock and many had never ever offroaded) in Mclean and some of the hides are still there (the falls is one). I also competed in an Amazing race type event held at a campground utilising cars and Geocaches it was a hoot. What does the club think, would you like to participate in or help run a Geochache event in Mclean? I doubt we have enough time this year but next could be easily done. Next run out to Mclean I can show those interested where a few of the Geocaches are still. Maybe throw in some camping at the group site in River Cove for the event too.

Yeah, I'd be up for that Harry, but I guess I'm saying that because I have both (a 4x4 and a GPS)

This is a quite fun. I was in a group with Tarzan on a Geo hunt. It was a night run which made it even more challenging.
