Personally - I'd definitely be voting no... ABProjects has become SRD's little b**ch, bend over do anything for SRD for no cost - for what purpose?

Andyl: that's the type of feedback the forum is about. I'm new here so I have no clue about this stuff.

Then ct4wd should start their own trail cleanup trips!

Great find Beachboy... I believe if we're able to learn and analyze these groups and how they operate and find their weaknesses on how they could do it better, we could either provide our intentions or do it on our own.

With the CT4WD Association, we are able create something that will actually make a difference with a strong vision, great team, a big following and help of the media.

I think if we can participate in as many of the clean ups and trail fixes as we can then we're able to get our name out there and show that we're making a difference. At that time then we can plan out our strategy on how to work directly with the government. Especially when it's backed with our eduction and training that we're putting on it also shows that we're serious about making a difference.

It's kinda like networking and politicking as we will be working with politicians eventually... but we can't lose who we are in the process.

Thank you for finding this resource as we can study it and learn from it.

The early days (ie mid 90s) of AURS etc were effective... Then it became a politics thing - more infighting and personality clashes than anything... ABProjects came from part of that. Nothing against them, I just don't believe we should be doing SRD's work for them.

I'm quite happy to do cleanups - typically on a trail run I come out with at least a garbage bag full of other peoples garbage... I'm happy to do trail maintenance, but I'm not happy to do work for SRD that they should be paying for out of their budget with volunteer labour, just so they can implement more closures on the 4x4 community.
