I've got the :):):):):):) unbolted from my 94 runner. However, it's a loaded auto and I'm having a crap load of trouble actually removing the starter from the vehicle.. anyone got any tips?
thanks in advance

There is an access pannel in the passanger fender well that when removed will allow the starter to come out.

On my 90 Runner with the 3.0 I have to remove the motor mount due to the headers. On another 90 Runner stock with manual we just unbolted the motor mount from the frame and lifted the engine a few inches and out she popped.

I recently did it, just take the access panel off in the passenger side fender well.. Then after that, take the heatshield off of the headers. You'll get it out

Getting it back in isn't AWFUL. But you do need to make sure that you slide it in the same direction its going to sit, otherwise it won't turn around in that little hole

got it done.
I bought the smaller version of the starter without verifying the connector.
Little bit of modification and all done.
Thanks for the tips everyone.
