Thanks again to everyone who made it out to last nights meeting at Boston Pizza. I didn't have my camera but it would have made for a nice bunch of shots between Max's Hilux, Chad's truck (Antonio missed out on seeing this), Gherra's Tacoma, Victor's 4Runner and David's new "Shower on Wheels" edition FJ. I had some good food and saw some faces I have not seen in a while. Good times and I hope everyone else enjoyed themselves as well.

Just a brief look at what was discussed;

- 1 Day Trail Run to Waiparous Falls on Aug. 15th
- 2 Day Trail Run to either McLean (local camping action), Rocky Mountain House or Safari (if it's still open)
- As with all "official" trail runs, register (http://www.ct4wda.com/ct4wd-trail-runs/) on the main site so we know how many trail leaders we'll need
- CT4WD has a "202" course for the increasingly technical driver (more details will be posted soon)
- As always, we've got our swag (http://www.ct4wda.com/ct4wd-swag-shop/). Swag includes shirts, hoodies and stickers ... and now
- CT4WD has become the only Canadian supplier of the Trasharoo (http://www.trasharoo.com/iWeb/TRASHAROO%20/About.html)

Lots of exciting stuff going on at CT4WD! Hope to see you all at the next one on August 18th.

Also ... on a side note. After the recent incident on TTORA with me, I must think I'm some sort of criminal as I accidentally dined and dashed. Our waitress was probably pretty happy to see my ashamed face sneak back in the restaurant an hour after my original hasty departure. Maybe not happy to see my face but at least happy to get paid lol. It's probably not an announcement that anyone but myself needs but ... "Remember to pay and tip your server before ya go".

Doc McCoy is not a thief. At least he's not trying to be. :P

Hey at least you did the correct thing and went back in. Many people don't have the guts to show back up if they have left without paying. Shows a lot about your integrity ;)

Hey Doc, the way you and David E. made a mad dash out the door mumbling something about looking at something on someone's truck, I almost forgot to pay for dinner too, because I was following both of you out, as I wanted to catch up to you about something else. The key operating word here is "almost". Hey, I got to witness a real live dine and dash.

But good thing you remembered before the place closed and not at 2 in the morning--that would have caused me horrible insomnia wracked with guilt and images of Calgary's finest at my door.

ROFL! Role models a plenty, this team.
Between curb hoppers, international incidents, and D&D's....

...let's see.....Chris K, what are you and I gonna have to do to top this?? :P

The Import club had a similar problem with another restaurant and maybe it should be a warning to all of us. We had a large group and everyone ordered seperate bills and as usual people left and paid at different times. The last guys to leave got stuck with a huge bill as it appeared some people did not pay. After much discussion it became clear that possibly the waitress may have screwed things up badly as all the guys had paid. We began a policy of paying and leaving the reciept on the table so that no one gets stuck again. I am sure everyone is honest but mistakes can happen and it gets tricky trying to figure out what happened.
