So I was browsing the old internet and found a great trip to do. You fly to Cairo and then take 112 days to drive south all the way down Africa 'till Cape Town!

Taking in all the popular highlights from Cairo to Cape Town including The Lost City of Petra, Jordan; the great Pyramids of Egypt and Sudan; monasteries on Lake Tana and Lalibela in Ethiopia; great deserts of Sudan, Kenya and Namibia; and of course, all the most famous game parks in Africa. 16 weeks cruising the diverse African lands overland; meeting new people and making friends for life.

Africa Expedition Support is offering this adventure as an inclusive package (4x4 vehicle max. 2 per vehicle, required paperwork; road tolls; fuel, most activities incl. park entrance fees, camping and accommodation fees; meals while camping etc) limiting the amount of cash you need to bring with you – making it a safer option. This expedition is fully supported by a lead vehicle with two experienced crew (mechanic and tour leader/cook) who are passionate about Africa.

21 Week 4 - into the Nubian Desert Egypt to Sudan

28 Week 5 - Crossing the Nubian Desert to Khartoum Sudan and Khartoum

35 Week 6 - Gonder, Lalibila and Bahir Dar in Ethiopia Ethiopia

42 Week 7 - Continue south to Lake Awasa and the Kenyan Border Southern Ethiopia

49 Week 8 - Travel through Samburu National Park to Nairobi Northern Kenya

56 Week 9 - Visit Lake Naivasha and Nakuru National Park, cross into Uganda and Murchison Falls Kenya and Uganda

Wow.... perhaps we could do a long way down like Charlie and Ewan! This would be a really long..... long.... long way down... Like 16 weeks long!

It's only about $3k USD to get your vehicle across the pond.

It's another $2K-3K to get yourself there.

I've been on some short expeditions in big dunes. Really fun, but really dangerous. There's a reason they call them "empty quarters" or "inhospitable lands". There is f*** all there.
There are many people that have died because they thought they'd go camping or a little trip into the desert.
You'd be surprised at how quickly you can get into trouble.

Been there, done that.

They call it an "adventure of a lifetime" because you're risking your life.
