To take a look at the 1977 FJ40 Land Cruiser my dad just gave me. Drove it when I was 18, and hasnt been driven since (12 years ago)
Looking to see if some fellow members could take a look, and let me know what I need to get it going. I miss driving this beast.
Engine was taken apart and cleaned 12 years ago, same with the winch. I am hoping I just need to flush all fluids and 12 year old gas! hahah
Im also going to throw my 31s from my TT FJ wheels on this baby.
So if someone is willing to come take a look, and possibly take on the project (paid in cash or beer) Looking to get it running, and I will start restoring it this winter.

Try turning the engine over by hand check all the intake tubing to make sure it isn't full of mice nests. If engine doesn't turn over by hand remove spark plugs and fill cylinders with a mix of diesel and ATF let it soak for like a week and then with spark plugs removed try turning engine over by hand to see if it has loosened up. If it has crank the engine with out spark plugs to clean out diesel and atf then change engine oil.
Good luck you will probably have to remove and rebuild the carb as it is probably gummed up from the old fuel.
