Well plans for camping in DC have fallen thru so Richard and I are thinking of going to Mclean for the day tommorow. No firm plan on what trails but I've always wanted to try Muskeg trail as I know where it starts and ends. Anyone else interested in a day of wheeling?

Post up when you'll be meeting Harry, I wouldn't mind coming out to play at McLean... But I'll probably be on the little wheeler instead... Eli and I have to do a bit of work yet on his bike, but when we're through with that, I should be free to come out and partake in the fun!

Nathan, please delete this thread. I will figure out a better method to see who wants to go wheeling.

We started putting the read before posting not too long ago. We will be ensuring people start using the format as it provides people with a pretty good idea of what's involved for the un-official stuff.
It's pretty easy... Copy/paste fill in desired info. There have been a few gong shows in the past... This just helps your friends out when creating a trail run.
You had it filled out just fine in the post you deletet ;)

Ok but the sticky was created 10 6 2009 and many people have posted similar lets go wheeling threads since then. So it's not correct to post up and say hey anyone want to go wheeling?

I was not creating a trail run as we have no firm idea of where we are going or if we are even going. My whole point was to see if anyone was interested in going to Mclean for the day thats it simple I thought. Maybe if there turned out to be a large interest then at that point the planning form would come into effect but for two or three wheelers no.
This just helps your friends out when creating a trail run.

That's not a problem. If you provide the format above, over time with more interest you'll be able fill in the blanks and re edit the first post.
We are now going with the above format, it's been brought up a few times in the past and people have done it, I'm not always on the ball so some slip through. We'll have moderators that will be able look over this stuff. We used to have them but when the forum got switched over we lost all the preveleges.

We are back. Had a great run I lead and Richard was tailgunner though we swapped off and on. You can cover alot more ground in a small group and we succesfully ran Muskeg. Muskeg is appropriatley named and it took some serious walking and discussing to figure out the correct lines thru the various crater fields. I had to winch twice and Richard once which is not bad for the wet conditions. I really must start bringing a camera as I have no pictures. A very challenging trail when wet and if we were to take a large group thru it could become a nightmare. We saw some extremely modified rigs on the trail from a bobbed 4Runner with 4 link suspension and 2 t cases to an Astro van on a Blazer frame. I recorded the route on gps as always for mapping purposes.
