New Kid on the Block! The Drift Innovation HD 170 Cam

In today's world it's not out of place to see a camera taped, clipped, stickied to someone's head, Bike, Car, or Toyota 4WD! This is a new camera that has come out with some neat features which is sure to make GoPro HD owner's jealous.

Immediately the most obvious of this camera is it's LCD screen on the cam which provides the user with a good view of what's going on. This is the one weakness that GoPro HD owner's have is hoping they got the shot because there isn't a screen yet available. This little waterproof wonder is able to take full 1080p HD. The really incredible part is it's remote control to remotely take video.

There has been times where the GoPro HD has been under the Toyota and being able to take the shot requires, stopping, checking to make sure it's on video mode, press the go button, record, pull over, stop recording, and finally turn off the camera. Hello remote control!!

It is a bit larger than the GoPro HD

Mounting options are quite vast as there is a hole on the bottom for normal camera mounts. They also provide a few accessories for handlebars, goggles, your head, and helmet.

Looks like a nice choice. Had anyone found one in Canada yet or is just a US thing

I'm not sure! I'll have to look into that, I wonder if it's an Internet puchase thing. It definitely shows some potential especially or those hard to reach shots of suspension cycling or rear views.

So it's all just contained, no underwater housing? I like that. I'm really hoping that GoPro comes out with some sort of LCD. I heard that they were working on a wrist LCD that has a remote built in. You just plug a wireless bit into that accessory port on the back. If that comes to life, YES PLEASE.
