This is the first clean up that CT4WD has done and although there was quite a bit of snow still that made finding garbage a bit more difficult, there was still some garbage to be found.

A huge thank you to Brent, Johnathan, Chris K, Albert, Shayne, and Jason for coming out on a snowy, wet, rainy, muddy Sunday to help keep McLean looking it's best.

We started on the east most camped location and continued all the way to the west. The group hit every camping spot and fire pit which was visible and found not only the usual cans, rope, cardboard, but some broken shocks, mudflaps, fender flares, tow hitch and quite a bit of lumber.

We didn't grab any photo's but managed a tiny bit of video a the end where we compared how much garbage each person picked up. It was a tie between Shayne and Jason with a good match of paper, rock scissors to only find Jason sitting with a pair of scissors against Shayne's paper.

The prize was a Daystar winch hook and Hi-lift isolator kit, CT4WD die-cut sticker, and Warn winch pull strap all provided by CT4WD.

We wish there wasn't as much snow as there may still be some garbage under the white covers, but at least on our trail runs we make it a point to stop and pick up garbage on the trail!

Excellent work team... and thank you for doing an excellent deed!

It was good to see people out cleaning up good job. Too bad there was so much snow but thankfully there wasn't much out there for garbage. I hear the Sundre area was left in quite a mess.

I have only one picture.

Yes! Way to go guys!! In a sense, you guys are the next generation of wheelers to continue a long tradition of the Wiaparous/McLean clean ups and trail maintenance. You are enthusiastically continuing what some of us old farts have been doing for almost the past 10 years, albeit the past few years have been somewhat dormant due to all of the trail closures in Wiaparous.

I can remember some earlier Wiaparous clean ups, (2001+) where there were hundreds of people in attendance! Maybe we'll see those kinds of numbers again.

Cheers to you guys, and hopefully I'll have a schedule someday that will see Saturdays and Sundays as actual days off! I'd like nothing more then to be able to take the kids out to such an event.

Nice work Jason! I've been noticing around the local OHV parks we don't see as much larger garbage items as before. We'd see burnt couches, tables, lazy boys... Nice work on the clean up!

Hey Kim! Thank you for your encouragement. It's awesome to have the wiser "old farts" with us and hopefully provide some guidance to us "young hooligans". I'd like to see users coming back together again and in a different way. That's exactly what we want to see is the responsibility to continue for generations ;)

Hey and anyone who couldn't make it... not to worry!! There will be more in the future and just having the support to want to be there is awesome.

Yeah, this was the first post-May long clean-up that I've missed in many years, but while you guys were hauling garbage, I was hauling ass - hauling my ass back from Moab :)

So, sorry I couldn't make it this year. Let's keep up the good work!
