Tis a hot tire! Wonder how it performs against it's race bred brother?

Probably suck on Ice, but from what I read it did very very well on sand and snow.
So long as you know your vehicle and are used to driving an MT style tire on ice I don't think it'll be a problem. Sad thing is Nitto doesn't even have them listed on their website. :(
I wanna know how much they're going to cost!
Never mind, they just added them on their site.

These are made by Continental Tire which General Tire is owned by. Check General Tire's site.

Good looking tire, but it will probably carry the Nitto price tag :(
Way too rich for my blood/rusty truck :)

You see them more often on European or Expedition style rigs. It's to help keep tree branches away from the front quarter panels. To be honest I don't know what they are called but you see them a lot on done up Land Rovers because they actually will have tabs for them ...
Kinda hard to see in this pic but there is a Landie and I think it's a 40 behind 'er, both with the "wire thing to protect the paint" things.

I like the red lettering. Had I known, I might have gone this way just to try 'em out. Red lettering gives 'em another 10hp I hear!
In truth, it's hard to completely trust the reviews from some of the magazines these days, I think that with revenue down a lot of them seem to be sucking up to the sponsors a bit more. The way they describe the testing on snow and mud is what got me worried. The Grabber has always been more of a Core2 or 4 tire which is great for sand or gravel. It comes from a long line of desert style racing. More comparable to a BFG Baja than to a BFG Krawler competition tire. Of course when they bring it over to the consumer market they must have tried to make it more of an allrounder. However, untill we see people we know, using them in the real world (instead of a magazine) ... I reserve judgement.
