Off to Moab the fella's are for their annual trip! Mookie is taking his SAS'd Pathy, and of course Winch is in his awesome rig.

Mookie is on APRS,(VE6BEE) if anyone wants to follow as well as SPOT. APRS link: http://aprs.fi/ Enter his HAM call sign, VE6BEE in the search area. Tracking is dependent on repeater locations so tracking will be sparse in certain area's.

I think NLK125 and Mookie are going to try a little HF - should be very cool if they can make a hit.

Isn't there a group from this club that is already down in Moab? They may be passing each other on the highway!

A little update here! 6 trucks went down, 3 have returned safely albeit without incident. The remaining 3 have yet to return. Mookie, (Kevin) has run into issues - managed to rendezvous with the other 2 trucks in Idaho, and they are together traveling back to Calgary at low speed. I guess the American holiday isn't helpful - everything is closed. They're safe and moving at this point!

Yes, thanks everyone. It was an epic week. The event was extremely well organized and everyone seems to have had a lot of fun both on the trails and at the condo's. It's amazing how much traction you have on the slick rock - made the Taco go places where it would not otherwise be possible. Thanks to some great spotting, I managed to do a few of the more wellknown obstachles like Hell's gate, The escalator, fifty-fifty, Wishbone, The pickle, etc. Almost managed to climb the Widdowmaker, but was a bit tentative, so will try again next time.
