I've had a LED flashlight for quite sometime, it's one of the first flat LED's which is bright but kills batteries like no tomorrow. I figured I'd take a look into something new. I was looking into picking up a SureFire, but the price was a killer! So I did a little more research and found this one from LightForce.

Uses 3 x 1.5V C size alkaline batteries
Operation time: High-68hrs Low-270hrs Flashing-180hrs
Multi-faceted reflector provides smooth beam pattern
3 detachable colour lenses - RED, BLUE, AMBER
LED bulb never needs to be replaced
Output power up to 176 lumens
XR-E CREE XLAMP LED
Size: 39mm x 231.5mm
Non-Slip rubberized collar at torch end
DC-DC regulated circuit
Water resistant
Rugged hard anodised alloy construction
3 mode switch - High, Low and Flashing
Includes lanyard wrist strap

I picked one up from Sierra Expeditions for about $30USD.

That is a pretty good looking flashlight, not too bad of a price either.

I have a spotlight from Canadian Tire, it was on sale for $11 or something like that, has a plug in for a 12v so I can charge it in the truck if need be.

Looks sweet nathan you'll have to keep us posted with battery life etc.

Although, I am pretty much in love with my LED Maglite.

I bought one (LED MagLite) on the way down to Moab and I could use it for high beams. My Lighforce Aux Lights are no slouch in the light department either though. I'll wait and see how Nathan's works before passing off my MagLite to Elaine.

Haha... nice!

Oh and it came yesterday. I'll post up a review in the review section. I'm not sure if it will compete with the Maglite... hard to say.
