Well I better say hi and be proper and all http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif

This was me... until august 07

Then this jackass happened... (truck was parked... Behind the cavalier (in the fence) got thrown >30')

Bought an 87 to replace it...

Which now looks more like:

Currently torn apart - blew the 22RE somehow, I'm fiddling around slowly getting that VW 1.6 Turbo Diesel swap done - got the plates, got the engine, got the bits n pieces... Working on my new transmission cross member (moving the transmission ahead ~2") while eliminating that stupid toyota transmission mount & flat bottoming...

Prayers are to get out sometime this year... I hope...

Welcome ANdy!

You're Runner looks great! Welcome to the Association. Let me know how that swap goes cause I've been looking into the Turbo conversion as well for my 81.

Is that the one by Acme?

Plate is custom, I had maxxed out cnc (4wheeler sponsor) cut me 3 (figured one for mock up, one to use and a spare) plates for less than half what acme wanted for one... http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif Sure little finishing required (final drilling/tapping & countersinking + probably a little trim around the starter), but definitely worth it in my book.

It's still pretty rough, but eventually it'll get there; Dieing to get out wheeling again...

yeah no doubt! Hopefully the swap goes more smoothly! Keep us updated with your progress... Hope you can make it out wheeling soon.

Was it the guy in the 'Vette? Did he survive the crash? If so ... did he survive you going over and beating him to death?

This reminds me of a funny joke. Well a joke at any rate.

What's the difference between a porcupine and a Corvette?

Porcupines have the pricks on the outside.

He survived, though I did pickup the camera to keep myself from beating him to a bloody pulp... Got a great bunch of pictures of these two falling out of the car...

And he's back on the road - heard a rumor he's driving a shelby (must be nice to have rich parents) now. Didn't get anything but a fine for taking out my truck - though he did get a 1 month suspension for taking out a bus shelter a few weeks before this havoc was wreaked...
