Here are a couple pics of my Tacoma.

This one I drowned out my quad in the puddle so I figured screw that and took the truck through it. I only had a couple thousand kms on it at the time. Not the smartest move but it made for a great picture. Only a little bit of water seeped in the doors.

Hey freeze, what is the rear set up you went with? Only 3" right?

I think LT rear would mean shock hoops coming through the bed (or no bed AKA tacosupreme stylez)...

I hate you and your damn nice truck! :D

/but will take any help I can get fixing mine!

freeze

Yup 3" All-Pro with the Fox shocks.

Yeah if you go that route you'll be getting rid of your bed for some weird shock triangulation.

We'll see how good the leaf pack is as I'm loading it up after the meeting tonight and heading for the nest.

It's a love hate relationship really.... haha

I have one also in storage (BSP) and I don't think it will sell unless someone really need it!

Thanks! It's not actually a Satoshi though, I just snapped it into its proper place instead of doing the whole recessed thing because I'm too impatient to mess around with all that stuff...
I kinda figured that the hood would be a long shot, but I thought I'd just throw it out there in case anyone needed one.

Yeah; I've wondered that a bit myself. I don't wheel much (and minor stuff when I do). Can't afford aftermarket parts, and can't afford to fix stuff when it breaks, so I doubt it would be a huge concern for me. *shrugs* One day I hope! =)

dragon

They were pretty good to deal with.

In terms of frame torsion, I guess it depends on how crazy you get off-road.
I think it would be more of a cosmetic body issue rather than frame.
I don't think most vehicles coming off the assembly lines with or without moonroofs differ in terms of frame rigidity, etc.

What happened? Are you okay?

... and more importantly, can I have your hood? ;)

Ya, we all good - both of us walked away (check out my build thread for a couple more pics and a bit more info).

Basically swapped ends on the #3 highway heading through Frank - good thing there wasn't any traffic cause I was all over the place trying to reign it in.

Fishtailed left, corrected, fishtailed right, corrected, fishtailed left, corrected and then slid as the back end was beside me heading perpendicular down the road.

Not sure what's up with the hood... might be good or it might be smashed in the driver side where the bumper hit headlight and headlight hit hood. Depending on what insurance says I will keep you posted...

Yeah, I read this thread first and just finished the other thread. Good to hear you both got out okay. I was in a similar ice accident in a similar vehicle back in 2006 (we hit a pole instead of a rock wall).

As for the hood, I just want to cut out the hood scoop and hood scoop insert. If you could get it, that'd be awesome. If you can't ... no big deal. Mostly glad to hear everyones okay.

Yeah, I read this thread first and just finished the other thread. Good to hear you both got out okay. I was in a similar ice accident in a similar vehicle back in 2006 (we hit a pole instead of a rock wall).

...

The day before I left Fort Mac (the first time), went in to town for a decent meal. On the way back to camp we caught an ice patch. Started sliding one way, driver over corrected and the truck decided to 180 and slide sideways & backwards into this pole.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4023/4428638553_3d29f19081.jpg
Some of the photos are a little messed. The camera was in the truck at the time of the accident.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4001/4429404142_5b7205c199.jpg
So the driver, a pipe fitter, says, "Alright, we've gotta get out of the truck!" I, an electrician, said "Alright." Granted, I was a little dazed. It's a light/power pole. And yes, the only thing holding the pole itself up is the power lines.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2760/4428640845_a40aa54eb9.jpg
Not too bad from this angle.

'nother angle ...

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4050/4429406844_84e4cd621e.jpg
You can see here that the driver was trying to murder me. The door was halfway into my passenger seat (Just a bruised thigh). However, and this is kinda weird, when the glass blew out of the windshield and passenger window ... I was hit in the face with a shower of glass. Not any big pieces thankfully. Actually, most of them were VERY small. For close to six months after the accident, I would find tiny shard of glass in my hands after washing my face.

At least I can say that my body checks are the hardest. I knock down power poles.

Nice! Invermere is a cool town, I don't know much for wheeling spots at all, mostly just some fireroads around the Cranbrook and Moyie area. I'm slowly getting into it.

So far so good. I haven't had much of an opportunity to use them because the days are so long. They come in handy during our summer hail storms though!

I've got bilisten 5100"s and OME 885 springs in the front with camburg upper control arms. 5100's in the back and a 3 pack progressive add a leaf plus 1.5" blocks. I also have ride rite airbags for hauling the sled and quad.

If anyone has the all pro leaf springs let me know what you think of them. I'd like to get rid of the blocks and go all leaf.

Finally my truck is not feeling like a rental. I have my Toytech ultimate 3" lift installed, new Silent Armour's P285/70R17 on new ION 179 Black rims. Buddy has my rock sliders done, still waiting on my tube bumper rebuild (after a deer impact). I have the fog light mod done, secondary oem fog light switch for bumper lights. There are additional D-rings in the bed for all my toys, and a OBD-II reader installed under the dash so i can monitor all the gages from my IPhone.

I have had the truck since October 2008, but its a 2009 model. With all my driving i have now hit the 100 000 km mark. Its only taken 100 000 km but I finally am loving my truck...

Scored a PLX kiwi WiFi scanner from my brother as a birthday gift. Costs about 125 and then with the purchase of Rev (a $ 40 app) I can monitor all sorts of real time data.

...the sophisticated image aficionado will immediately note the composition displays the bleakness of the different textured concrete broken up the irregularly applied tar in the cracks and expansion joints, contrasted with the rapidly transiting Tacoma across this stationary platform; some would say at an impossible speed for this truck, but clearly documented in the legend at the bottom of this exclusive photograph. The image evokes the spirit of exploration pushing the envelope of performance.

If anyone would like a copy of this exclusive, limited addition photograph it can be had for only $75USD - at my cost - remember there are only 2 copies of this image - the owners and the Cedar Rapids Police Department!

This would be a great screen saver or a memorable Christmas gift for that special off-road enthusiast!

Had my truck in for service yesterday and it is scheduled to go back in next Wednesday to have both front bearing replaced under warranty. Guess I will be paying for the next ones after the wheel spacers go on and a few more water crossings happen. We should set up a Canmore Coffee night and see if any of these Calgary guys/gals are willing to drive out or stop in after the ski hills.
