Ok, just before leaving for fernie yesterday, I was in at country hills Toyota and hot an oil change on the Lexus gx. Couple hours later as we are about to drivT&Taway, there's a small puddle unerring the truck, red...coolant. The overflow bottle was basically full so I figured the just spilled some topping it up? Of course, now i'm in fernie and there's a puddle under it in the morning and the overflow bottle is almost empty.

I have no tools. What could they have messed with that could cause thhis leak? Can't believe it's a coincedence :(

What did your temp gauge read while you were driving?

Guage was solid at half as usual and I was watching :) Even overnight the overflow wasn't completely empty.

Was could they have been fiddling with under there? Every thing looks dry topside. Can't tell underneath without taking off the skid but I'm in no position to do that even. I've got a 10L water container so I guess I'll keep diluting it til I get home. Sigh

Thanks for reminding...

Update is, it was a complete coincedence with the timing on the oil change as much as I hate to admit it! After pulling all the trim above the rad apart to look at the front, the rad was simple leaking in both top corners right from the rails/fins. This is a 2005 Lexus...the rad was simply toast. Not what I expected. The timing of the leak finally reaching the ground kills me...lucky I didn't freak out at anyone at CH Toyota :)

As a note, Lexus wanted $920 just for the rad...where do they get it? Calgary Radiator. I got Toyota to do it instead (I don't touch the lexus myself)...$320 for the same rad from Calgary Radiator and 1.8 hours labor. All is well.

BTW, 26cm of snow overnight Sunday in fernie...3/4 of the hill closed for avalanche danger and pouring rain all day :) Soaked to the bone
