Hey Guys
I am looking for a set of rock sliders from my 90 Runner. I want something that is clean but still has a lot of protection. Like this

I have heard a few guys talking about removable hoop steps for their sliders. This would be perfect as mt Girl is only 5'1" so with my new lift she is going to have problems getting in.
Thanks

I would stay away from any hoop steps if at all possible. Even if they are removable, they will still be a PITA. It would be better to weld a hoop of chain-link onto the slidres, because the chain will move out of the way over obstackles.

How would they be a PITA if they are removable.

I dont think i can sell her on the price without a step.

So Jason, you're getting the sliders so that you can off-road the truck, right? If so, will your GF be going with? If so, she would probably want to get out everytime everyone else gets out to take pictures, etc, right? So are you going to want to replace and remove the hoops 15-20 times each time you go wheeling? To me that is what I would call a PITA. :)

Why not get something permanent instead, that you do not have to remove and replace so often, like a chain?

Girlfriend isn't coming wheeling but the truck is also my daily driver so more in the sense of having them during the week and taking them off to go wheeling. This is why i want something that is removable. Take it off when i pack up the truck to go and put it back on when i back into the city.

Not a big fan of the chain look either.
