Does anyone have a lead on a shop in Edmonton that will do out of province inspections? Looking at a 85 Runner from Ontario. Any ideas on average costs of these inspections?

Is this the truck your looking at? I would be carefull if I was you. Seems to be in way to good of shape for that strange price of $999.00. Just saying, seems fishy. If its legit some one looks to be getting one hell of a deal. I wouldnt sell my 84 for that price with no motor.

Ha....thats exactly the one I was looking at. I could smell a little fish on it too. I've reached out to the guy for a closer look but haven't been contacted back. Guess we'll see.... Thanks

Man I hope its legit. That thing looks clean. Good luck. Hmmm, im going up to Edmonton tonight, maybe i should bring 1K with me, haha. JK.

A safe bet if your thinking somthing is up is call the cops with the VIN they can tell you if its legit. That or carfax

You can take it to Dan at 4wheeler. They can do them for fairly cheap. Or even Wilson's Autotech does the inspection.

Totally bogus add.... He's pealed it of kijiji already so either he's sold it or decided not to string people along. Balls! I got really excited about a solid axle runner for under 1K.

Oh well.... Guess I'll keep lookin

Well it just so happens I got an 84 4runner for sale now, not for under 1k though. Just picked up an 85 extra cab today.

NEVER use CARFAX. NEVER EVER. haha CarProof is the best service to use in Canada as it gets very detailed feedback from everything in Canada. Carfax is good in the states but is very limited to the information it receives from Canada. I bought a 98 4Runner last year, I Carfaxed it and it came up clear with zero accidents. I decided to sell it later because I wanted a truck and a buyer ran a CarProof on it (and he actually showed me the original CarProof document) and it said that the 4Runner had been in a $25 000 accident in 2000. Not cool....... just a heads up.
