Hey anyone installed a battery Isolator on a 1st gen 4 Runner.

Ive got a 140 amp battery Isolator I want to use but not 100% sure on how to hook up.

I'm thinking of running a 4 Gauge wire from the positive post of the alternator to the "Alternator terminal" on the battery isolator and extending the wire that hooked up to the alternator to the "Battery 1" terminal and Hook the second battery up to "Battery 2" terminal.

Im have a Cole Hersee battery Isolator Model 48120

any suggestions would be appreciated

Cheers
Blaine

Technically that will work, but why not spend a few more dollars and just run new 4awg to the batteries instead of using 1st gen wiring. Would be pretty S&^#@Y if you were in a situation that you needed that isolated batt and got hosed by some wiring.

Just my $0.02
