So i was in the process of building up my 85 with 1 tons etc., and to say I hit a few speedbumps would be an understatment. Then I noticed this mint '82 truck on Kijiji one night, and had to have it, two weeks later she's in my backyard! Enjoy!

It still needs some work to be a go-anywhere rig, I'll be putting my dana 60/70 axle combo on it, hydro steering, my dual cases and probably swap in my 5sp. trans, and i got a set of 39.5 iroks sitting in my basement too. I'm eventually gonna re-work the bed/cage to make it a little more user friendly and safer. Hopefully this build will go a little quicker than my other one, since all the pain in the ass stuff that i hate doing is already done to this truck.

Super sweet! is it propane? Or is that a custom filter on the carb? Right on!

just a custom filter mount, but it will be on propane. Pretty hard to have a serious rig with a carb these days
I was wondering where that truck ended up. Glad it ended up in Calgary for me to drool over it. Love the design of that deck.

Nice truck. Those are some monster shackles. You going to tone down the shackle lift? Might as well throw a bit of the nitrous sniffing salts at the engine haha for those sticky holes.

Nice, good to see someone picked that rig up. I was looking at that rig but decided i could spend quite a bit less money and get a truck with more offroad friendly mods, minus the mint cab. What did you pay for it, pm me if you don't want it public.

The deck will probably be totally re-done, its not as practical as it looks.

Oh its gonna be on the trail, and it won't be 'pretty' for long haha, i might try sell the front fiberglass fenders, cause i'd feel like a dink if just shattered one on a tree

The whole 'lift' is gonna get re-done, it sits way to high for my liking, and ya, the shacke length/angle is brutal. when its done it should sit lower, even with the 40s on it. I'm gonna probably do a propane kit, that should wake it up a bit, maybe a nice intake and some heads, if all else fails, i might have to slap a 6.0L in it next winter. Hopefully i don't get banned for saying that haha

Not just the cab is mint, the whole engine bay is either re-built or brand new. i just didn't want it to end up in the wrong hands and see a bunch of chrome stuff on it, cruising through malls haha. i ended up paying 8800. i know you all probably think thats waaay to much, but i have seen alot built up yotas, and the attention to details on this truck blew my mind

I hear ya about his attention to detail on that truck, wish my cab is in as good of shape as that. I offered him 6500 (what i paid for my truck) and he said he would take the tires, tool box, cd player, shovle and some other stuff off and would go for 7500. I thought that was too much for me to spend considering I was looking at my current truck at the same time. At the time i was looking for a ready to wheel truck and the choice was a no brainer for me. If I had the money and time to put that truck to where it needs to be, like you will be doing to it, she would be sittin in my driveway instead, lol. Good luck with it and hope to see you and your sweet ride on the trail.

That's not a bad price considering. I'm thinking it's almost a deal with everything that's gone into it.
