Hey, we have around 10 people going out either the first friday of may(we got it off school) or possible the weekend, or if not the weekend after that. We plan on going out to Mcclean for a little day trip.
Oh yeah, and its toyotas only lol.

Mclean opens may 1 from what I remember. Wish I could make it out, I'll be away during that time. The loops are good runs. East is a bit easier wit a nice rocky hill climb.

Definitely do a trail report if you can cause I think our next trip will be to McClean on the east fisher loop. There's a nice hill climb with rocks that way.

It'll be a good trip to get from the easy trails that we've been doing to some eays/medium trails.

haha yeah that would be you Gary, wouldn't want to come down to your local spot without informing you. Especially after you have come up here so many times. Now that the snow is melting a bunch more trails have opened up that can provide some challenges for you in the Falls Creek Area, there is one trail in particular that I am looking forward to going on but want it to dry up a bit more so I will probably do a run out in June. I see that the official run is the 9th so is that when this run is taking place?

I should be there as well sounds like lots of folks are planning on having runs there that day. Funny how usually there are lots of people planning on coming out for opening weekend and when the day actually arrives the numbers drop hugely.

Also, John there is a shortcut from your place to McLean and it runs right by my house in Balzac. So unless you have to go all the way into Calgary, you can swing by my place and we can go together.

I think camping is out if forcast comes about, 10-15 cm snow on Monday 5-10 cm on Tuesday then 1 cm mixed with rain on Friday - ugggh! Not sure if I've ever wheeled Mclean with this much snow, it's going to be challenging climbing/descending any hill.

Makes camping more fun in the snow. I may be coming out to this one if I cancel the trip to Mexico.

Fun, lot and lots of fun thats how it was. I am sunburnt and the Runner is covered in mud what a blast. I had to be pulled and winched numerous times due to the snow. I had to have my buddy abandon ship out the pass window (thats a first) as the truck was laying on it's side so we could balance the rig. I ended up being leader two days in a row despite getting both groups stuck then Gary performed the same thing so he and I should be banned from leading.

Sounds like I missed out on a good one. Gary almost had me convinced to spend the night at his place and go out again. But had to get some work done. Maybe I should have come again after all.
