Geoff, what did you decide to get? VIAIR 90P?

I'm on a wait for: the SmittyBilt MV50. Prob. not as good quality as Viair, but I'll be the test subject I guess. Also on back-order <grrr> for weeks. The other one I was looking at was the 2724; looks just like a Via300P - N/A till April! If the MV50 isn't avail by end of Feb, I'll change order to Viair 90P

The Smitty built MV50 is the exact same Q industries compressor I bought in the US. I bought 2 compressors as I found them in a Costco for $39.99 US and every where else they were $99 and up. I have used the compressor many times and it works great the only thing starting to wear is the battery clips but that is an easy fix.

Funny how the ultimate portable air compressor blew a diff and now all the chatter about needing compressors. I think we all need to buy Gary a drink or wings next time around.

I could have worded that better but the jist is there. I just got a call regarding Sunday and I'm out for that day as well. I am not a Super Bowl or NFL fan at all but a friend needs help due to the excess orders they get on that day, so anyone else realise they will be missing the big game (I'm not even sure who's playing)?

Nothing in the NFL can compare to watching my Riders blow it in the last second. :(

You've been out there recently and know you can't make these hills? What is it about your truck means that can't make these hills?

Also FYI, there is a Jeep club run on Saturday the 6th...a big one b y the looks of it. They are thinking about 3 groups. Not sure what that means for the condition of the trails the next day :)

I just need to make sure, there is someone with a winch coming along right? Cause i wont have mine till the 12th.
If there is, and he doesnt mind winching me 3-4 times possibly, ill come.
I just dont want everyone to be mad cause im holding the group up in case i cant get up the hills.

You have a surf right? Does it have decent (and accessible) tow points (or shackle mounts)? Do you have a receiver for a hitch in the back? If you've got any other recovery gear ... bring that too. Tree straps, recovery (not tow) straps, winch extension line (optional) and 3/4" screw style shackles.

If you've got the tow points, I don't mind towing/winching you around when needed. If you don't have any recovery gear ... you'll probably need all of the above anyway when you get your winch on the 12th. Might as well pick it up today. Most of it would be available at National4wd of if you want to save a few bucks when buying it all at once, Princess Auto.

Yeah, the Hilux rocked!

Weather was way better today than last Sat. - it was clear, sunny, warm all day. No wind.

Just a great day for being outside in the winter.

We forgot Sarah's flip video at home  so no video clips - oh well.

This run was way more technical for me - I needed the experience.

Thanks all!

It was a great day for wheeling, trails were pretty mild with the exception of a few nasty spots. No real hang ups, great spot for lunch great group. Next time hopefully I will be able to take my truck.
