So this may be an option for me if i choose to go this path ? What do you tacoma owners think ? Doesn't a trd come with the hood scoop ans stickers ? I assume. Thanks for any advice in advance .

That looks like a decent rig! I wish I had taken the time to find a used 2nd generation with a few goodies already installed.
As for the price, it seems quite fair. I`d seriously consider it! Oh, and I just noticed a rear locker too!
Sounds like that`s the kind of truck to grab especially if you don`t have the time or post purchase resources to ad things like a decent lift, canopy, tires, etc

That truck is from the states. Make sure you get a good backround check done on it. Looks damn nice though.
And the there are two TRDs. The OffRoad (Which is that truck) and the Sport. The OffRoad (Hereafter referred to as OR) has no hood scoop, chrome bumper, chrome grill surround, rear locker, progressive springs, 16" rims. The Sport as a rear LSD (Mechanical up to 2008, there after I believe the 09's and 10's are electric LSD done via the brakes) hood scoop, colour matched front grill and rear bumper, door handles and mirrors. Non progressive springs and 17" rims. In Canada the OR only comes in Access cab long bed, and the Sport Double cab. In the states it's different, hence my previous comment.

Price appears on with the exception of all the other add ons... I'd proceed with caution. This is a better option:

Other thing with the 2005s to watch for is the engine mounts. There was a recall on a few of them (They have certain VIN # listed for the compromised vehicles) due to improper welding of the mounts.

I see that truck around my neighborhood all of the time. It has a 3" revtek lift. It was beat up pretty bad at one point, looks like he got it fixed up. Mosty body damage if I recall, but no way to know for sure.

If your going to spend 20-25,000 on a new tacoma....save your money there is one on kijiji( it's in the kijiji thread) it's a first gen taco( so you won;t have to replace your wheel bearings monthly) with a 6 inch fab tach lift, supercharged 3.4l and an ass load more aftermarket stuff and he wants $25,000
for it but it is absolutely mint......i still have my guys at the dealership searching for a good first gen for you rob and i did'nt forget to call you there was just no reason as we got rid of that 2004 double cab..... But the hunt still continues for you.....look at the kijiji thread on here and you'll find the link to the one i just told you about....it's orange

that orange '04 is a seriously sexy and mint piece of work. 20-25k for it seemed reasonable, even.
Friend of mine is moving to Stavanger, Norway next week and has left his taco behind. Looking to sell it. 2005, Red, 85,xxxkm, manual, doublecab shortbox TRD offroad. All the details I have at the moment. If you're interested shoot me a PM. I'll get you a smokin' deal.

Same truck but different price? I guess the topper increases the value. I think the topper was included in the begining.

Finally found one ! It is a 2006 DC Long box with extended warranty on it till 2012 ! I will get some picks up a soon as i can find my camera cable ???
But my question to all you Taco owners is i need tires on it fairly soon, and what is the biggest i can fit on stock 17" and stock suspention also? I dont intend to do alot of wheeling with it but do make frequent trips out to lakes and a few odd lease roads for work. I would likt to get a aggresive looking tire but am just wonfering what you all have used or think is a good way to go? Not sure if this is the right spot for this post either ?
Thanks again for all your help in Advance!

265/70/17 without trimming.
With a little bit of trimming, you may be able to fit a 275/70/17 but I cannot say for sure. You may be getting too close to the UCA with a 275 without wheel spacers.
