Hey there everyone, I am new to toyota as well as wheeleing. I just drilled my first hole in my 2008 dbl cab silver tacoma to install a cb radio. Loads of plans for the future. Look forward to learning everything there is about wheeling and meeting new people. Hope to see you all soon! Jerrid (aka Grod)

Welcome Grod!

What kind of CB do you have and where in your cab did you mount it? Trying to figure out a place for mine and my VHF with out them being in the way and out of reach from the kids...

Hey there Hounddog, I will take pics tommorrow but I mouted the radio on the side of the centre console with velcro and the external speaker in the storage place in the front middle of the console. I will submit pics tommorrow when there is light. I too am in the out of reach of kids stage.

Sorry hound dog, as for type of radio, I have a maxon cbe-30 thanks to a hand me down from Redape! Works great.

Heya, I checked out your CB location. Looking good! I was thinking of the same place. I need every cubbyhole in my truck for storage. I have a field office, but I need the cab of my truck to double as an office when I'm site specific so every cubbyhole has it's use.

I also was thinking about a mount from these guys, particularly the "drink cup holder mount" and retrofitting a CB and a VHF mobile to it. http://www.mountguys.com
