Anyone know if you can turn off the VCS in a 2008 FJ? I am about to chip mine and throw in a Supercharger.
This being said, if I want to leave smoke at every red light in the city I need to disconnect the VCS. However I would like to option of turning it on and off. Anyone know if this is possible?

It's a base model, but has lots of upgrades. Is there a way I can make a switch to one of the aux buttons?

First of all welcome to the forum and congrats on your FJ, she's a beauty.
There are a ton of threads on this topic in the blue forum. Here's a link you can follow.

Thanks for the link! I just started doing some digging into it and also came across this, very interesting. Has anyone tried this yet? Id like to know how it's working.

I haven't tried it and to tell you the truth don't really feel like I need to. The VSC has saved my ass a few times when I really wasn't expecting it. I also figure it's not really going to increase my fun factor since I am full time 4wd anyway.

Yes i have done this mod. Yes it works like a charm. The only thing is to turn the VSC back on with this switch mod you have to shut the vehicle off flip the switch back on and then turn the vehicle back on. Have had no issues with this mod yet.

Yes i did it myself. Just follow the write up and the cost was a few feet of wire and a simple toggle switch. Done

I think what your looking for is trac disable.
trac cuts throttle , vsc > breaks. I have done both on my truck with trac disable and vsc switch , for 2wd fun I recommend routing the 2 wire switch from your abs pump ( 2 wire plug ) and simply making the circut open close on a switch , this way you do not have to cycle your igition and it will not generate error codes in your ecu. :D
(forgot to add the 2wire plug mod you lose your ABS brakes )
