Hey Everyone,
I gotta say a big THANK YOU to Discount Tire Direct, they are probably the easiest tire shop / online shop I have ever dealt with.
A few of you might have noticed that I busted off and lost 1 of my center caps on the last run (broke through the ice and then in the process of getting out busted the cap off and made it disappear somewhere in the puddle).
I got my Rims from Discount tire in Amarillo TX, so not the easiest location to get back to, but I checked out the online store http://www.discounttiredirect.com) and then sent them off an email. I got a response the next morning, and had to call. But after a great talk with the guy on the phone (Who actually knew what he was talking about) I got 4 new center caps ordered (always good to have extras right) for $48 USD, and they will ship today via UPS.
I have to say, after service like that, and great prices I will be getting all my rims and tires from those guys!
I highly recommend them!!

Totally agree. I've ordered tires from them twice without a glitch. Great, fast service and excellent warrantee on tires. I am unaware of anyone else offering a similar warrantee on mud tires.

$48 bucks! That's great! If we knew they were that cheap... maybe we wouldn't have look so long for it... LOL. There was no way we we're finding it in that slushy mud hole. But on the other hand - didn't Albert's cap also fall off later that day and he found it?

I would have asked them to ship USPS instead of UPS. Hopefully you don't get your ass handed to you with brokerage fees.

Not sure about other items, but on tires they have a flat rate shipping and brokerage fee to Canada. It includes all taxes and brokerage, so no surprises when the tires arrive. I think it was $150 for 3 tires last time I did this.

Yeah ... both Tirerack and Discount Tire have the brokerage fees and tax precalculated when you ship to Canada. No hidden fees.

Got my center caps this morning!! 4 brand new shiny ones.... and I think they are staying off the truck lol. There were no hidden fees and it was only $15 US in freight and brokerage fees. Totally Impressed with Discount Tire!

haha... that's a great idea. Another rule of thumb similar to the shock boots is:
Centre caps go in a drawer or garbage because if they ever get mushroomed in the rim they are super hard to get out. It's better to take them out when they're nice and not run them.
