Looks like there's a few loops out there that might be pretty fun and not too hard for the ones with stock trucks.

I'm thinking we start out easy going to get everyone on the same page then start building up to harder trails slowly over each trip.
The Association runs are every second Saturday of the month. So this one will be on Saturday April 11th....Pencil it in!

Always enjoyed Indian Graves! I used to open camp there, and run the trails - It's too bad that they've shut down open camping and some of the trails to trucks. :>( I'm not sure that this trail is still open to trucks, but a favorite was the plane crash site.
Be sure to stop in at the Longview Jerky store, and pick up some great tasting Jerky for your trip!
I'm camping that particular weekend, so I'll miss yet another run. :>(
Enjoy!

on that closed trail note..... is Indian Graves even open to trucks? I'm doing some research and I keep getting the same info that it's closed to anything over 800lbs.
We might have to go to Waiparous again. Mclean is still closed and it's a bit of a drive to get to the Crowsnest pass not knowing the conditions of the trials out there at this time of year.

Indian Graves is closed to anything over 800lbs. It's too bad because there are some good trails but again, like Waiprous, it was ruined by a few drunk rednecks and highschool kids and closed 2 years ago. The plane crash trail is great although the last time I did it, it took us 26 hours with 6 very capable rigs. It's not a trail you want to do in the winter if you don't want to do a little damage. It could even be worse than backing in to a tree. http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/lol.gif

ohhhh burn!! haha.. thanks SteveO. Let's plan for the run to the falls at Waiparous this next Saturday. That can be two plan crash sites we can wheel to this summer. One in Crowsnest and the other in Indian Graves.
Thanks for the info SteveO... will you be able to in next run?

After the way SteveO described the cliff faces on the way to the Waiparous falls ... I'm stoked to get out there again. Especially before May 2-4.

Ok. The next official run is to the falls at Waiparous April 11th Saturday. I'll send an email to that effect.
