View Full Version : 4 wheeling in Churchill Manitoba Nov 12.
Thought I would share a couple of pics from 4 wheeling in churchill yesterday.
A very canadian experience.
Girlfriend arranged everything. Flew up for the day saw about 30 bears waiting for the hudson bay to freeze over.

Wow - especially "closeup#2.jpg" - looks like the bear could reach out & swat you to dinner :D - probably the magic of a good tele lens, right?

No telephoto..cheap digital camera. The bear is right outside the buggy. The bears come right up to the truck..curious. Driver was saying the big males can stick there nose thru the drivers window. You can hear them breathing.
Here is a pic with the bear reaching up...there is a man with his head on the railing looking down.
This was definitely a life experience...Canada rocks.
Shot of two bears on the start of the ice. Once the bay freezes over the bears will be gone hunting seals on the ice. The bears are basically starving when they come to churchill...have not eaten since august when the ice melted.
