After this weekends unofficial run with, Gary, Ryan, Shayne (and Sammy), David and myself... Valerie (my wife) and I decided to hit the Gravel Pit so she could get a feel of the truck, mud, gearing down etc., when she bumped a rock and it mangled one of the stock "Side Step" brackets. It didn't take much to shear it from the bolt. Needles to say that this has "loosened" up a little money from my camera budget (LOL) for some new Rock Sliders.

Don't forget David, even though he only joined us for about 1/3 of one run :)

David E. (if he had Internet) would say "get sliders with kickouts". It would have saved his butt a few times from some expensive body damage.

There is a bit of history with Trail-Gear.com also that older Toyota heads could shed some light on.

If you do get sliders, do go for ones with kickouts... It's saved my butt more than a few occaisions.

David E should get kick outs welded to his current sliders it wouldn't be a hard mod or an expensive one either.
